Our design journey began five years ago under the name “Maki Atelier.” Over the years, the deep-rooted textile and production experience we gained has evolved into something much freer in spirit under the roof of House of Maki, founded by us as two sisters.

Stepping away from the repetitive world of mass production, we chose a path shaped by original design and ethical craftsmanship. Instead of flawless yet cold perfection, we create tactile pieces inspired by modern art and nature — designs that carry the warmth and sincerity of the human hand.

Sometimes it is the abstract forms of contemporary art, sometimes the delicate poetry of nature, and sometimes the peaceful sleep shared with our beloved pets that inspires us. And we bring these artistic stories to life not alone, but together with a beautiful circle of sisterhood in our atelier.

We want every piece we create not only to feel unique, but also to be kind to you and to nature. With deep respect for both the environment and your skin, we work with breathable percale cottons and pure linens through environmentally conscious processes.
